EQUIPMENT:
A part set of Alphabet letters typically something like A - L with a picture of an every day object on the back.
Long table
Suitable simple stand up picture frames that can have images front and back and easily be turned on their base
How to play:
The pictures are displayed giving the children a minute or so to memorise them. The pictures are then turned around displaying the alphabet letters.
Questions are then asked per team, the answers of which are one of the pictures, for example, for a penguin - βan animal that lives in the arctic.β The children then have to remember which letter when turned around shows the penguin. The pictures can be seasonal or themed. You might have a sports, fruits, or images associated with Christmas theme.
Once the question had been answered the image is again reversed displaying a full suite of letters once more.
Use your own imagination and resources for the manner in which the pictures are displayed.
