1 - SOFT BALL OVER
Simple old time favourite where teams compete to see who can get a ball through their team the quickest. First team to be seated wins!
equipment:
A soft ball for each team.
Start and end markers or marker tape.
How to play:
Each team will need to be supervised by a competent adult / youth leader.
Overhead Play
Team leaders to space their team out across the hall, all team players facing forwards.
First player in each team holds ball at start.
On the command of ‘go’ the first player passes the ball over their head to the second player behind them, who in turn passes it over their head back to player no. 3 and so on. When the ball reaches the last player they run to the front of the team carrying the ball and immediately start the pass-back process again.
Eventually player no. 1 will arrive at the back of the team. When they receive the ball they carry it to the front the team and sit down on the floor to declare they have finished the game.
The winners are the first to have their line of players back in the original order with player no. 1 at the front and the team seated on the floor.
