Teams compete to thread tubes onto a piece of rope the quickest.

Equipment:

  • Cardboard tubes, typically might be kitchen foil sized tubes cut down in size or other, painted in bright colours. Ends of tubes taped to ensure no rough edges.

  • Suitable string / rope with a tied knot at the bottom so the tubes don’t fall off!

  • Trays or similar to keep the tubes in place during the game.

How to play:

Depending on how many ropes and tubes you use will the dictate the number of children that can compete at any one time. Children stand behind a table out the front. The tubes and rope for each child are in front of them on the trays on the table.
The children race to see who can thread the tubes onto the string the quickest. The first child to hold up their completed string of tubes wins the game.
