10 - DINOSAUR EGG & SPOON RACE

Fun giant egg and spoon relay race.

Equipment:

  • Large child safe spoons made from cardboard and and padding of suitable foam or other.

  • Suitably sized child safe light weight eggs of a proprietary manufacture, painted in ‘dinosaur-like’ colours.

  • Some kind of egg stand

How to play:

Place the egg stands for each team at the front of the room on a table. Choose 5 children from each team and get them to line up at the front of the room opposite their teams. On the command of ‘GO’, the first player sets off with the giant spoon carrying the egg to a marker at the back of the room (ensure that they don’t come in contact with the other team) turns around and returns to the front. When they arrive back at the front they hand over the egg & spoon to the second player who then does the same. The third and fourth players continue, the last player sets the egg down on its stand at the front. First team to have their egg on the stand wins.
